I have been fascinated by trying to capture images of wildlife, since owning my first 'proper' camera (Pentax Spotmatic 500.) I much prefer photographs taken under natural conditions, without undue image manipulation. I now work almost exclusively with digital media, having given up shooting transparency film about six years ago. I am currently using two Nikon bodies ( D300 and D7000) My main lens is the brilliant 200-400 VRI zoom lens. I also use a Tachihara 5 x 4 film camera for some landscape work. Additionally, I have a Nikkor 105mm macro lens and the Tokina 11-16mm super-wide.

Below, is a picture of me getting acquainted with one of the world's most charismatic subjects.
